Is it possible to rescind an event such as Hire when it is "In Progress"?

In Workday HCM, once a Hire event is marked as "In Progress," it is typically not possible to rescind or cancel that event. This is due to the fact that "In Progress" indicates that the onboarding process is actively being executed, and many subsequent actions may rely on the completion of this event. Allowing rescission at this stage could lead to inconsistencies and disruptions in the employee data and workflow, which is why preventing such actions is a design consideration within the system. The processes involved with hiring are complex, and to maintain integrity and consistency in employee records, Workday restricts the ability to rescind events that are currently in progress.
